Palawan hands out early Yuletide hope for remittance beneficiaries

At Tranglo, we celebrate the season of giving. We are delighted to know that our Philippine partner, Palawan Pawnshop, has launched a Christmas remittance campaign with customers standing a chance to win a grand prize of Php10,000 (US$200)!

What’s Palawan Pawnshop?

Palawan Pawnshop, as the name suggests, started off as a pawnbroking business, and has since expanded its services to include money remittance, which is known as Palawan Express Pera Padala. With over 5,000 branches in the Philippines, the money remittance provider is a great option for Filipinos abroad who want to send money home quickly and affordably.

How to win cash prizes?

Palawan has launched a promotional campaign called Pera PadaLove from Abroad – Pamaskong Palawan Promo (Money Remittance with Love from Abroad – Palawan Christmas Promo) which runs from 16 Nov 2020 until 15 Feb 2021.

All beneficiaries of international remittance claimed at Palawan Pawnshop Palawan Express Pera Padala shall be entitled to an automatic entry to an electronic raffle, with the following prizes at stake:

1st Prize : Php10,000
2nd Prize : Php5,000
3rd Prize : Php3,000
Consolation : 50 winners of Php500

The promo will run for 90 days, with 3 sets of winners as stated above, meaning there will be 3 windows of opportunity to win the cash prizes. Not only that, each successful payout transaction gets 1 raffle entry, so the more international transactions are claimed at a Palawan branch, the more chances of winning!

Winners will be announced through Palawan’s social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) and will be contacted via registered email, text message and phone call. One customer can win only once.

The art of giving

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected everyone. But for Filipinos still reeling from the effects of the coronavirus, they have also been battered by typhoons, the most recent being Typhoon Vamco. The deadliest cyclone to hit the country this year with a death toll of 67 and rising, thousands remain trapped by floodwaters.

It is therefore heartening to see our fintech partners chipping in with value-added promotions such as this, on top of providing a reliable remittance network for families and friends to receive money from their loved ones abroad.

*We enjoy supporting our partners’ campaigns and sharing them with our network so that everyone benefits. If you are a business and want to tap into the huge remittance market in the Philippines, contact us today.
