The REMBO programme was launched on 13 May 2018, offering users a chance to win attractive prizes such as mobile phones, television sets and flight tickets. To participate, users have to remit money to any BRI account using one of Tranglo's digital money transfer partners.
Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) has launched REMBO, a digital remittance programme, through a strategic partnership with Tranglo. This programme aims to raise awareness for the adoption of mobile digital money transfer amongst Indonesian migrant workers in surrounding countries through the use of online channels.
Currently, Tranglo is offering the pilot programme to digital partners in Malaysia, Singapore, Korea and Hong Kong through channels such as Tik, Valyou, BFC, TNG, Sentbe, Gmoneytrans and SingTel. Tranglo hopes to expand the programme to additional partners in the near future.
"We are excited to provide this platform for BRI to encourage the use of mobile money transfers. This will help make it easier for migrant workers around the world to send money to Indonesia as it is more convenient and secure," said Hui Yong Sia.
