Typography

Because words matter

Typography provides a strong, unifying element to convey a consistent brand voice across various marketing communications. Our font is conscientiously engineered, approachable, human and highly technical.

Typeface

Montserrat is the font used for headlines on marketing and product/web experiences. Montserrat should be used in every version of the Tranglo logo.

There are 2 preferred and 2 optional weights for use within the Montserrat family. Each weight includes uprights and italics. The selected and acceptable weights are Light, Regular, Medium and Semi Bold. While additional weights are available within the Montserrat family, these are the only 4 that should be used unless a specific case otherwise demands.

Weight & style

Maintain the font weight, tracking and leading.

Use Montserrat medium for titles

And also for subheadlines

Montserrat Regular is used for body text or when there is a requirement for large amounts of text. This font weight optimises legibility with sufficient leading, making it ideal for reading.

We suggest a body text with an extra 30-40% leading from the point size to avoid cramping the font.

e.g. 20pt leading for a 15pt font.

Montserrat Light is readable, but should not be too long. Same leading rules apply.

Tagline

Our tagline should always be in Montserrat Medium while using it as a headline.
