Front-End Lead Engineer (Cross-Border Remittance Solutions)

We are seeking an experienced Front-End Lead Engineer to join our team and lead the development of innovative, scalable, and user-centric front-end applications for our cross-border remittance solutions. This role requires expertise in Angular, C#, and a deep understanding of the financial technology landscape. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing, developing, and optimizing applications that handle secure, high-volume transactions while delivering a seamless user experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Application Development:

o Lead the development of modern, responsive front-end applications using Angular.

o Collaborate with back-end engineers to integrate with APIs built on C#.

o Ensure applications meet high standards of performance, scalability, and security to support real-time, high-volume cross-border transactions.

2. Technical Leadership:

o Guide and mentor a team of front-end developers, promoting best practices in coding, design, and testing.

o Drive the adoption of modern tools, frameworks, and processes to enhance team productivity and product quality.

3. Collaboration:

o Work closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and QA engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

o Ensure smooth integration between the front-end and back-end systems, maintaining end-to-end system reliability.

4. Code Quality and Testing:

o Implement and enforce coding standards and conduct regular code reviews.

o Write unit tests and support end-to-end testing to ensure the reliability of front-end applications.

5. Innovation and Optimization:

o Stay updated with the latest trends in front-end development and remittance technology.

o Optimize applications for performance, ensuring minimal latency and maximum usability, even in low-bandwidth environments.

6. Compliance and Security:

o Ensure front-end solutions comply with industry standards and regulations, including AML/CFT guidelines.

o Collaborate with the security team to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.

Qualifications and requirements

  1. Technical Expertise:
    • 5+ years of experience in front-end development with Angular (including TypeScript and RxJS).
    • Proficiency in C# for building and integrating with APIs.
    • Solid understanding of web technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs.
  2. Domain Knowledge:
    • Experience in developing solutions for cross-border remittance, payments, or financial services.
    • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in the fintech industry, such as AML/CFT standards.
  3. Leadership Skills:
    • Proven experience leading front-end development teams, including task allocation, mentoring, and performance management.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, Agile environment.
  4. Problem Solving and Optimization:
    • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, particularly in optimizing high-performance applications.
    • Experience with modern build tools and libraries such as Webpack, Babel, and Angular CLI.
  5. Other Skills:
    • Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git).
    • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
    • Knowledge of secure coding practices for handling sensitive financial data.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and containerization (e.g., Docker).
  • Experience with mobile-friendly web design and Progressive Web Applications (PWAs).
